Can adding aftermarket parts to my car void the factory warranty?

The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act was established 1975 and states "Warranties, written or implied, cannot be conditioned on the consumer's use of any article or service identified by brand, trade, or corporate name." Thus, adding aftermarket parts to a vehicle will NOT void the vehicles Factory Warranty. This act protects new car buyers from fraudulently told that their warranty can be voided if they do not sure manufacture specific parts to add new technologies or upgraded performance. Many buyers have been wrongly informed that the factory warranty is void with the addition of aftermarket autoparts, specifically those that are made by outside manufacturers. This is not true. LIS Audio Workmanship Warranty
Any and every vehicle that LIS Audio performs an installation on will have a lifetime warranty on the workmanship. This means, LIS Audio will inspect any issue involving or related to the work that was performed by LIS Audio for the life of the vehicle, as long as the vehicle is still owned by the same customer that had the work performed. If the work that LIS Audio has performed on the vehicle has been altered by another shop or technician then the workmanship warranty is now void.
LIS Audio General Product Warranty Policy
Many of the products LIS Audio carries will have a manufacturer warranty attached. Each manufacturer offers different time frames on warranties with their products. A LIS Audio Extended Warranty can be purchased to ensure the warranty offered is the most beneficial. If the product is in need of being warrantied, and LIS Audio did not install it, then the warranty process must go directly through the manufacturer and NOT through LIS Audio.
Our products with warranty sold by LIS Audio are void when; it is not installed by LIS Audio, has been physically damaged, has appeared to be exposed to a large amount of liquid, or the product is missing parts not allowing for us to warranty with our manufacturers. If the product clearly displays malfunction that may have derived within the manufacturing process, then it is considered exchangeable under warranty, as long as none of the above characteristics are that of those that could void the product warranty.
Product warranties will not be fully upheld when the power demands of the product exceeds the charging system capabilities of the vehicle. LIS Audio will address this and recommend the proper upgrades to avoid the product warranty from being void. Some products may be replaced as many as 2 times under this policy at the discretion of LIS Audio staff. If the issue of the vehicle charging system is not addressed this may also disqualify any product from being refunded.
LIS Audio Refund Policy
LIS Audio has a strict no refunds policy for used items. If the product was purchased from, but not installed by LIS Audio, and it appears to have been use or installed upon exchange, then the product can no longer be returned. LIS Audio enacts an exchange only policy. All products are sold “as is”. The buyer assumes the responsibility for the purchase, and no refunds will be issued. The buyer has 30 days to exchange for a product that is of equal or lesser value than the product originally purchased.
LIS Audio Damage Claim Procedure
LIS Audio assumes no responsibility for any damage, or theft, to any vehicles or items in vehicles left outside of the shop on LIS Audio premises. LIS Audio will make every effort to secure the vehicle, i.e. locking doors and arming alarm. In order not to void the product warranty or workmanship warranty, bring the vehicle and product to LIS Audio that is suspicious of being or causing damage. This will allow us to access the situation prior to taking the vehicle to another shop and voiding any warranties.
LIS Audio Online Price Guarantee
If the product to be price matched is displayed on an online authorized dealer or distribution site, LIS Audio will match the listed price.

LIS Audio Restocking Fees
LIS Audio will always offer to let the client take the new product boxes with them as a way to avoid a restocking fee. If a product happens to fault and is in need of replacement under warranty, it is likely the manufacturer will require the original packaging, or will otherwise charge a small fee. Restocking fees may vary.
LIS Audio Store Credit
May be used towards any merchandise at LIS Audio. Labor charges are not included.
LIS Audio Gift Cards & Gift Certificates
Maybe used towards any merchandise at LIS Audio. Gift cards are non-refundable and my not be used towards labor. Gift card and certificate expirations vary.
LIS Audio Media Notice
Every single vehicle that enters the LIS Audio workshop is subject to picture documentation for the Check-in & Check-out process, as well as public advertising. Any vehicle at anytime may be publicly seen on social media and other online platforms. Please notify LIS Audio in advanced if you do not extend permission for the vehicle to be publicly displayed.
