LIS Audio & Retrobuilt Motors at SEMA 2017 with Maxxsonics!
In mid October of 2017 Jc Fisher, singer of The Texas Tenors and owner of the Retrobuilt Motors 1967 Shelby Cobra Eleanor prototype, reached out to LIS Audio about adding a full audio system to compliment this crazy build. Jc and Retrobiult having been in contact with Maxxsonics had been informed that their SEMA booth was one car shy and could use some MB Quart product to display and demo. So with just a week left before the Mustang needed to ship to Vegas for SEMA, LIS Audio took on this project to get the 1967 Retrobuilt Mustang RSC-GT show ready for the biggest car show and event in the world!!
The Super Cobra was located in the Maxxsonics booth which was near one of the three main entrances off of Paradise avenue in Las Vegas, Nevada at the 2017 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show. If you're not familiar, the SEMA Show is the largest internationally known car shows in the world and is often referred to as "The Super Bowl of car shows" if that puts it into perspective for you. Jc was completely stoked to have his Mustang entered into The Battle of the Builders for its second time since 2015!
In less than 5 day span LIS Audio had the car it received a set of custom speakers pods on the front doors for two pairs of MB Quart Z-Line component speakers, a 5-channel Z series MB Quart amplifier and two 12" slim subwoofers in custom built enclosures. The factory touchscreen was retained so we utilized an AudioControl LC2i to reroute the signal into the aftermarket amplifier while retaining sound quality. We also performed our custom perforated deck lid service, added LED lights to the engine bay and trunk accents.
We were extremely honored to have been able to visit as Exhibitors with Maxxsoinics to display their new products and some of the custom fabrication and audio installation work. The entire event was so large and had so many events constantly going at almost all times, from the UTV offload course to the full racing simulators. There were 3 drift tracks setups by Ford Performance, Continental Tires and the Stinger Automotive track.
