When it comes to custom subwoofer enclosures these will be the most affordably designed and build enclosure steals offered at LIS Audio. We use 100% wood in our constructed materials to accomplish the goal at hand. These enclosures will be more ideal for an everyday spec sub-stage, sound pressure level and sound quality applications.
Sealed Enclosures
Most sealed enclosures are best for sound quality and limited space applications. The subwoofer, depending on specific variables, may tend to play much tighter and more accurately then a typical vented enclosure. Choosing a sealed enclosure is also a great way to go when it comes to confined cargo areas and limited cost for construction.
Ported Enclosures
Our LIS Audio Ported Enclosures, also referred to as Vented, allow for more output from the subwoofer with a slight trade off in sound quality. These enclosures can be built and tuned for many different purposes but are commonly used for daily driver situations and sound pressure level competition (when built properly). Simply let us know what goals you have in mind and we will do our best to help you meet them!
Accoustical Engineered Enclosures
The Audio Dynamics Acoustical Engineering software allows us to tune the subwoofer enclosure to many variables rather than just around the subwoofers Thiele Small Parameters. This engineering method takes into account the listeners musical preference, the shape and size for the vehicle, the direction the subwoofer will be facing and many more variables. If you would like to know more about this process feel free to contact us!
Sound Pressure Level (SPL) Enclosures
SPL subwoofer enclosures are most typically built for chasing and achieving large bass output numbers, many times found in SPL Competitions. These enclosures can be ported, bandpass or ordered to many alignments above 4th to gain a specific amount of output within a specific frequency range.
